The Red Sea AquaZone Aquarium Ozone Generator uses high frequency switching technology so it requires no regular maintenance. Depending on the protein skimmer you are using and the application, you may want to use an air pump. The AquaZone Aquarium Ozone Generator does not include an Air Dryer. An Air Dryer is not absolutely necessary, but it will improve performance.
