Product ReviewsOverall Rating: Jeremy Brown (Hobbyist) on Sunday 05 October, 2008 Product Rating: Review: I had an Aquacontroller for about 6 months and it worked well for most of that time. The clock lost a lot of time (about 30 minutes a month), which was annoying, but easy to deal with.
The unit had a lot of nice features (such as simulating sun and moon cycles), and the ability to control a lot of devices. The display was easy to read and understand.
The problems with the unit were minor but bothersome. The biggest problem I had was corrosion on the PH BNC connector, despite a drip loop. The ability to seal the connector would have been nice. The 2nd reason I upgraded was the lack of upgradability. I wanted to have 2 PH and 2 temperature probes. This unit didn't allow me to do that without buying a whole new unit.
There is a reason this is the aquacontroller jr, so if you have limited devices to measure, this is for you.
If I didn't have the problem with the corrosion, this would have gotten 4 stars.
