So a much better skimmer than the Venturi skimmers. The needle wheel version is more popular and provides better performance. The typical skimmer has a lifespan of around 2 years from experience. Great skimmer. produces thick dark skimmate. Produces tons of bubbles and froth. It is a great skimmer for the money. make sure you have room in your sump for its footprint and removal.

I am amazed at how well this skimmer works for the price you can not go wrong. The construction of this skimmer make me a bit concerned. It is light weight and appears to be "cheap". In fact the only thing cheap about it is the low price point compared to other skimmers of similar rating. I use mine on a 75 gal zoa tank. It pulls the thickest nastiest funk I have seen out of a skimmer. I also run Euro Reef, Aero Foamer, and Turbo Floater skimmers. This skimmer is easy to dial in and gives the best bang for the buck. Side by side to the ER 80, on a similar set up, I pick this skimmer. I know that ER has the better rep, and has a better seeming constuction. Thicker tube, better name sake, ect ect.
However the CLS pulls a nastier funk out. I dought anyone would be disapointed with this skimmer. It is one of the few products wehere saving a few bucks is well worth it. Dollor for dollar this is the skimmer.
