Liquid Calcium is an easy way to add the proper calcium to a reef tank with a high livestock load. It is great for novice aquarists.
Liquid Calcium can be added to a tank daily or weekly without the risk of increasing pH too abruptly. It's high concentration of high-grade calcium chloride enable this product to help tanks attain the correct calcium concentration, like that in seawater: 425-450 ppt.
Many times, aquarists using kalkwasser dosing systems/reactors will also use Liquid Calcium as a way to reach that optimum level for a heavily stocked aquarium more quickly than by their regular slow dosing system.
Instructions: Add 1/4 to 1 teaspoon (1/4 to 1 capful or 1.25 to 5 ml) per 50 gallons (190 l) of tank capacity each day, based on animal load. Since animals use calcium, and gallons do not, regular testing of calcium level by a good calcium test kit is advised Adjust the amount of addition of the product to achieve a calcium level of about 400 mg/l. |
