I use this skimmer on 2 of my tanks. The one in sump works excellent with almost no adjustments. Just empty and clean the cup about every 3-5 days and you set. It will skim dark murky sludge constantly. The best I have used so far. The other is a hang on which also works well, but needs a little work to start up. At first it will skim too quickly and fill up the cup to fast. It take about a week or two to break in. To help this out I put a small plastic bag between the riser tube and the collection cup, with a small hole in it to slow down the skimmer until it breaks in. After a week or so remove the bag and it's fine. You will not find a better skimmer for the price in my opinion.
