ASM’s come complete with a Sedra pump or G series pump which is modified to create and produce some of the highest amount of bubbles per square inch of water, on the market today. They perform best, when placed directly in your sump.

The good: this skimmer does a great job of creating lots of tiny little bubbles (what a skimmer is supposed to do). However, it is a pain to clean out the neck of the skimmer and it requires constant adjustment as it gets dirty. I do a water change (on average) once a week, and have to adjust the level on the skimmer at least 3 times a week. This wouldn't be a big concern if the collection cup had a drain, but if the skimmer overflows, it overflows right back into the tank (obviously not good). The lid on the collection cup also has a tendency to stick and I have had to use a screwdriver a couple of times to get it apart.
